ROOTING-UP technique: better posture, less pain!

If you sit most of the time at work, this is for you…

What if strengthening the core was as simple as sitting up straight? What if taking a break strengthened you as well as calmed your nervous system and gave you a clear head?

Taking literally three or four breaths for yourself as a daily practice once at the beginning of your day and once towards the end of your day (set a reminder with your brilliant gadget), plants the seed of awareness, which will help you to lessen muscle strain caused from bad body mechanics.

Better yet, if you can use a standing desk, start your day off, standing and after lunch or at the start of the second half of your day allow yourself to sit. We are made for movement, not to be sedentary, to sit all day long creates stagnancy and stuck energy in our bodies, which causes us to inflame, the cause of pain.

Take a break, include your body care into your day while working, and watch your mood shift for the better, while you learn that you matter. You deserve to take care of yourself just as much as the work before you. Everyone benefits when you take care of you. I believe in you because I believe in me. I believe in the possibility of wellness for us all.

The Connection Between Symptoms and Not Speaking Up

heal chronic illness and pain, symptoms of smallness, self neglect, lower inflammation

In order to fix chronic neck or any other muscular or skeletal (arthritic) body pain, go INTERNAL.

What if you went that route for once, instead of looking for the answers from experts, medical professionals, pharmacies. Could you dare to see the connection your pain has with what goes unsaid, that really needs to?

If you travel the same circles as I do, you’d understand where I’m coming from, and it’s not some woo-woo witchery (although I am a proud earthy-Crone, deeply connected to the understanding of how our bodies are capable of profound healing). Healing happens all the time. People decide to cut the crap, to kick their own ass, but here’s the thing, they don’t do it alone, ever. Ever ever.

What causes pain, again, you ask? Inflammation. What causes inflammation? Tons of things; physical stress, emotional stress, mental stress, seed oils, refined sugar, trans-fats, toxins, relational dysfunction, and all the other evils that bring our energies to our knees. Chronic repressed emotions of grief, heartbreak, betrayal, and resentment. Oh yeah, depression and staying stuck will flare you up too.

If you have arthritis, that’s your “canary in a coal mine.” Every time you get a flare up, consider, what caused it. If you feel overwhelmed by such a notion, perhaps it’s simply because you are so accustomed to neglecting yourself that you aren’t yet able to connect the dots between your stress and your symptoms.

The roots of pain and illness are usually caused by repressed and unexpressed feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and values, by staying small, and apparently safe, by avoiding “making waves” and not “rocking the boat”, instead you live step by step, hurting yourself on those eggshells you walk upon.

This is what flares you up and keeps you in your unwellness narratives. Pills do not cure, healing invisible wounds can. Guess who knows how it works?

Lowering inflammation is not only about food, it’s the air we breathe, the culture we dwell, and most importantly, the feelings you feel, and the thoughts you believe.

If you have an open-mind, and are sick of the normalcy of sickness, I invite you to work with me to lower your stress, cut the crap (at least partly), and get moving. I have a one month or four month container to call in your next level of vitality.

It’s time to trust your gut, People. You can do this. Many have before you. You are not alone.

Asking for help is a strength. We are not meant to do down in pain and misery. You deserve wellness, you really actually do.

No more pretending you’re ok, no more ignoring and minimizing, no more holding back. It’s your time for safe spaces to heal from pain and illness. Sign up for my newsletter at my website or DM me the word “ROOT CAUSE” and I’ll get you on the list.

I love you.
